The Royal Wave – A Regal Keepsake with a Playful Twist
This one of a kind piece from my Toys R Art series takes the concept of nostalgia and shakes it up with a dash of royal flair. The tin itself is a piece of history – a 1953 Bournville chocolate tin commemorating the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
Inside, I’ve arranged a collection of delicate arms and legs, salvaged from both vintage toys and ceramic ornaments, set against a shimmering gold resin backdrop. I’ve added a border of jewels and pearls to give it a touch of grandeur, creating a playful contrast between the tin’s formal exterior and the whimsical scene inside.
This piece can stand proudly on a shelf or hang on the wall, inviting curiosity and conversation. It’s a quirky homage to tradition, with a distinctly offbeat edge.
