The stool was designed by Creative Director of Ministry Of Upholstery Anthony Devine, who also appears on BBC’s Money for Nothing.
Zoe and Anthony have teamed together to bring you the verified upholstery workshops to Muck N Brass Studio. Both Zoe and Anthony can be currently seen on BBC1 new show Flipping Profit.
This course serves as an excellent introduction to upholstery whilst also offering you the opportunity to make a beautiful and incredibly stylish stool.
You will work in a small group of no more than 4 students and following the step by step tuition of Zoe. You will make this stool from scratch from a bare solid hardwood frame, constructed in-house in our frame workshop. This course covers some of the same techniques as our classic footstool course, such as webbing, cutting foam, applying hessian and wadding, but also covers different techniques like making and applying piping, applying borders and cutting from a pattern.
There is no sewing involved and perfect for complete beginner.
You will also have a choice of Muck N Brass paints to finish your legs to match your fabric.
Everything you need is supplied except 1 metre of fabric. Please bring with you a suitable, medium thickness fabric. Nothing too thin. We offer 20% off our own design fabrics if purchased on the day for this course.
